Dr. C.De. M.D>
Dr. De (Pronounced “Day”) is the founder and President of Apogee Medical Associates. His Passion for Medicine and academic aptitude earned him Scholarships and Grants that funded his education. He also secured admission to all the top Medical and Engineering Schools in India, where he chose to complete his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery at Gauhati Medical College in 2001, and went on to become Field Medical Coordinator for Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) in Holland until 2003. In pursuit of his Master’s degree, he went on to secure admission to all top universities including Harvard, John Hopkins, UCLA, and UNC Chapel Hill. He was later awarded the Presidential Scholarship from Harvard University where he obtained his Masters in Public Health in 2006, all while working as a Medical Consultant for the World Health Organization. In 2010 he obtained his Medical Degree (M.D.) in Internal Medicine from Staten Island University where he was awarded Certificate of Excellence for Scholarly Activities for three consecutive years, in addition to Resident Researcher of the year in 2008 and In 2014 he went on to complete his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease. Not long after, in 2015, he completed the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at New York Methodist. Throughout his education he achieved numerous awards and honors, including Scientific presentations at The International Congress of Coronary Heart Diseases in Prague, Czech Republic in 2009, Best research Paper Award at the Richmond Medical Society Annual Research Competition and achieved Grant approval by a corporate body, in support of a breakthrough research project to look at graft patency outcomes in patients undergoing the minimally invasice cardiac surgeries. Dr. De helped prepare the draft for India’s proposal for funding from the Global Fund of Aids, TB, Malaria and was instrumental in India’s successful bid to be awarded $389 million. He served as key spokesperson for the American heart Association (NY Chapter), and has been featured on several State and National Television news and talk shows representing various Hospitals and Organizations both in India and the United States. In 2015, He and his wife Vira, relocated to Florida from NY, where he worked alongside Dr. Ruggieri at Center For Health for a year before starting his own practice in late 2016. Since then, he has dedicated himself to providing quality, personalized care to his patients. His medical expertise, and well developed patient rapport has led to the exponential growth of Apogee Medical Associates. In his spare time, Dr. De enjoys spending time with his Wife and Fur-babies, riding his Harley with friends, and also enjoys singing and playing the guitar.
Anuradha (Anu) is a dedicated and talented Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, board certified in Adult Gerontology and Acute Care, who obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama. She is originally from India, where she received her Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery, and worked as Registered Nurse for over seventeen years, including nine years in ICU. Prior to Joining Apogee Medical Associates, she worked Pulmonary Critical Care and Moon Lighted for a Hospitalist group at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Bayfront Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda for three years. She enjoys traveling, reading, gardening and spending time with her family. She is excited to be part of Apogee Medical Associates.
Anuradha James, APRN
Anisleisys Vazquez, PA-C
Anisleisys (Anni) was exposed to the medical field from an early age. She began her undergraduate career at Miami Dade College, where she obtained an Associate in Arts degree in Biology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida. After earning her degree, Anni joined the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL. Her time here was extremely rewarding as she obtained experience working in a high stress environment, in which she was responsible for the care of patients in a critical state. During this time, she accepted a position at Jackson North Medical Center, where she participated in rapid response alerts and cardiac arrests as part of the code response team. She then went on to complete a Master of Clinical Science degree and Physician Assistant Studies at Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. Anni hopes to continue practicing as a competent, empathetic provider, in an acute care setting where she can help those in their most vulnerable states. In her spare time, Anni devotes her time to her dog Mickey. She is an animal lover, animal rights advocate, and dreams of opening an animal rescue in the future so that she may help animals in need.
Sreeja currently resides in Port Charlotte with her husband and two sons. She is originally from South India, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Mahatma Gandhi University. She moved to the United States in 2005 and started working as a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit at Fawcett Memorial Hospital until 2016. In 2017 she earned her Masters of Science in Nursing, FNP degree from Concordia University Wisconsin. Prior to joining Apogee Medical Associates, she worked as a Hospitalist APRN at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. She has mentored a wide variety of health care students and also volunteers her time and skills at Virginia B Andes Clinic. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, being in nature, playing the guitar, gardening, reading, learning and teaching. She believes in developing strong relationships with her patients in order to provide personalized care, tailored to meet their specific needs.
